Not sure what to watch in Australia tonight? Or what to watch this weekend? Now that we're officially more than halfway through the year, you may struggle to find something worthwhile across the swarm of streaming platforms this July. Not to mention the flood of new shows, movies and documentaries arriving on them every month.

July's killer lineup across the best streaming services in Australia features Netflix's Exploding Kittens, the animated adult comedy with a star-studded voice cast. We'll also catch the final season of Vikings: Valhalla on the big red streamer. Prime Video will become home to Those About to Die and the Sausage Party spinoff series, while Binge will debut two new originals, Mr Bigstuff and the second season of The Twelve. Stan's book-to-series adaptation, A Good Girl's Guide To Murder, kicks off the month with its premiere on July 1st before the trueblue streamer welcomes the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 26th. Disney Plus brings back Sharkfest, with seven shark-infested shows surfacing on the platform, and will introduce a prequel to the Descendants movies, Descendants: Rise of Red, on July 12th.

In this constantly updated guide, we're hoping to help any indecisive show or movie lover find a great, rapid-fire recommendation to take the guesswork out of what to watch. All of our suggestions are grounded in hardcore data — specifically streaming search trends and everyday reviews of what's new and popular — so we're on the pulse to see what real people (a.k.a you) are watching, reading and talking about.
